On Wednesday, April 29, at 6pm, the American Center will have a special presentation on Williana Burroughs from Fulbright Scholar Romy Taylor. Though little-known to the wider population, Williana Burroughs was an important black female radical at the beginning of the 20th century. Come learn more about this interesting historical figure! Dr. Taylor is a Fulbright scholar researching Black Americans in the USSR. She teaches Russian and Slavic Studies at the University of Arizona.
