** Monday, July 19th, 5p.m. Running time: 129 minutes. ** Directed by Ridley Scott, this thriller focuses on the lives of two women: Louise (Oscar Award winner Susan Sarandon), who works in a fast food restaurant as a waitress and has some problems with her friend, Jimmy, who, as a musician, is always on the road; and Thelma (played by Geena Davis), who is married to a husband who likes his wife to stay quiet in the kitchen so that he can watch football on TV. One day Thelma and Louise decide to break out of their normal life and jump into the car and hit the road. This movie shows their journey and its twists and turns with the police and other characters. Also stars Harvey Keitel and Brad Pitt (in his first major Hollywood movie).
